What to include in your raffle rules
Who can enter. Any age or residency requirements.
Start and end date of your raffle.
Drawing date and time, and how the winner will be chosen.
Prize information: value, and where it will be picked up or delivery options.
What the contributions will be used for. Something like new uniforms for the school team.
Your organization’s name and a way to reach you with questions.
That raffle tickets are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
You might also want to include, depending on your raffle
Your permit or license number, if your state issues one.
Tax or title obligations. On a car, for example, the winner is responsible for insurance, tax, and title.
Restrictions on certain prizes. A NASCAR driving experience winner must be 18 or over with a valid driver’s license. If there’s wine in a basket raffle prize, the winner must be 21 and show valid ID to pick it up.
How to get a free entry, if your area requires one. Chance2Win does not include an online free entry method. Most organizations say a self addressed stamped envelope must be mailed between xx date and yy date, one per envelope and household.
That all sales are final.
